ULTRATHLETE
How it works

A coach in your pocket, all the way to the start line

Ultrathlete is an AI coach for ultra running. It plans your season, sends your sessions to your device, reads every recording and talks it through with you.

Getting started

Four steps to your first plan.

A few minutes of setup, then a conversation.

  1. 01
    Connect your device
Link your watch or training platform, or upload your files. No device? Start without one: your coach asks about your training instead.
  2. 02
Tell it what you’re training for
Your race and its date. No race yet? You train on an open plan and add one when you’re ready.
  3. 03
    Have the first conversation
Your coach gets to know you in the chat: your history, the days you can train, your terrain, your niggles, what you want from the season.
  4. 04
    Your plan arrives
Blocks, weeks and sessions built around your race and your life, sent to your watch or calendar when your device supports it.
A week with Ultrathlete

What it’s like, day to day.

The chat is the app. Around it, four moments keep you on track.

The app on a phone: the coach's morning brief in the chat, with tomorrow's Endurance Run and Sunday's Easy Run as cards
Every morning

A short brief before your day starts

Yesterday in a line, then today’s session and what it’s for. In the app, and by email if you want it.

The app on a phone: the coach's comment on a 45-minute run and a card asking how hard it felt and how it felt
After every session

Your coach has already looked

Finish a run and the debrief is waiting: how it compared with the plan and the one figure that matters. Tell it how it felt in a few taps, and your coach replies.

The app on a phone: the coach's review of the week that closed and the plan for the build week ahead
Sunday evening

The week ahead, laid out

Your coach reviews the week just gone and lays out the next one around what actually happened.

The app on a phone: an athlete asks how to fuel tomorrow's long run and the coach answers with carbohydrates, the meal before and fluidsThe app's dashboard on a phone: this week's sessions, the next race and the fitness base and freshness chart
Any time

Ask anything about your training

Move a session, swap a long day, ask how to fuel a five-hour run or why Thursday is easy. Your coach knows your plan, your history and what you told it last month.

What it coaches

What your coach covers.

Each part of the coaching ships only when it’s ready to be trusted.

  • Trail and road ultra running
  • Easy cross-training alongside your running, when you want it
  • Your season, from base building to taper
  • Fuelling and hydration for your training sessions
  • Advice for race day, in the chat
  • Training around a niggle or an illness, with a nudge to see a professional when it’s needed
  • Strength and mobility, coming soon
Your devices

Works with what you already use.

Your recordings come in from your watch or platform. Where your sessions go depends on which one you use.

On your watch
Watches
Recordings come in on their own, and your sessions go to the device, ready to start.
In your calendar
Training calendars
Recordings come in, and the coming week’s sessions appear in your calendar.
In the app
Other platforms and file uploads
Recordings come in, and you follow your sessions in the app.
The AI, plainly

An AI coach, built on a coach’s method.

Every message it writes is labelled as AI. It follows a method written by a certified endurance coach and never improvises around it. It proposes; you decide. Your data is used to coach you, and for nothing else.

Questions

What athletes ask before they join.

Not here? Ask your coach once you’re in.

Do I need a watch?

No. Without one, your coach asks about your training and recalibrates once recordings arrive, and you can upload files from any device. It’s at its best with your recordings.

Do I need a race?

No. You train on an open plan, building your base, and add a race when you pick one.

Which races does it coach?

Trail and road ultras, from your first 50K to 200 miles. Your main race shapes the season, a second can be a peak along the way, and shorter events fit in as training races.

Can I cross-train?

Yes. Tell your coach what else you like to do and easy cross-training is planned in around your running, never at the expense of it.

What happens if I get sick or miss a week?

The plan is rearranged around it, not abandoned. One rough session changes nothing; a run of them does, and your coach proposes the change before making it. Pain or illness never waits for a pattern.

Is it a real coach?

It’s an AI coach, and it always says so. It works inside a method written by a certified endurance coach, and the decisions stay yours.

What happens to my data?

It’s used to coach you and nothing else: no advertising, never sold, never used to train AI models. Disconnect whenever you like.
